This Master of Science in Engineering Management brings Clarkson University’s academic excellence — top rated by U.S. News & World Report — to the Hudson Valley, serving professionals from around the nation. The program has been developed in partnership with industry leaders such as IBM, Turner Construction and The National Society of Professional Engineers to meet the growing demand for sophisticated business and organizational skill set development for engineers and technical employees.
In the program, you’ll experience live (or “synchronous”) online classes — so you’ll be part of a virtual classroom, interacting with faculty and classmates in real time, plus “asynchronous” coursework that you accomplish online, on your own schedule. You’ll also connect in-person with Clarkson’s Business and Engineering Management faculty, well-placed industry experts and your professional classmate peers at Beacon Institute’s campus in the Hudson Valley.

The Program
Starting with a weekend intensive in Beacon, NY, the first compressed semester will kick off with two courses that will give you and your employer immediate return on your investment:
Subsequent semesters will follow the traditional academic schedule. The cohort will conclude with a capstone project that relates directly to your current employment and provides value to both you and your employer.
The cost is typical for Clarkson graduate programs at $1259 per credit hour, and may be eligible for employer tuition reimbursement plans (please confirm this with your manager).

Course Schedule
COHORT #2: SEPTEMBER 2013—SPRING 2015
Each semester will consist of one weekend residential session held at Beacon Institute's Center for Environmental Innovation and Education (CEIE) in Beacon, NY. A total of fourteen online sessions per class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings; Expected workload in addition to class is 3.5 hours per class. Capstone will be a faculty-directed project accomplished at student workplace (no residential session/online classes).
