For Beacon Institute each year, the month of March signals the launch of an exciting season of environmental and community-related programs held at its gallery at 199 Main Street and Center for Environmental Innovation and Education (CEIE) at Denning's Point in Beacon. To view the entire season, visit our website at www.bire.org/events, and click "2014 Event Calendar."

Ranging from an exploration of the connection of art, science and the environment with ecoartspace curator Amy Lipton and ecoartists Lillian Ball and Betsy Damon to the "big-picture" facts on fracking with journalist-author Tom Wilber and Andrew Revkin, the Third Thursday Series at CEIE will present a wide-screen view of water and environment in 2014. Walk & Talk favorites and new additions will flavor tours highlighting the natural and historical treasures of Denning's Point. And the Sunday Author Series at 199 Main Street will provide even more evidence that the Hudson Valley is home to abundant talent, and is an extraordinary place to live.
