Event season heats up with new Third Thursday thinkers, WOW! and classic W&Ts

Upcoming in April, Beacon Institute's 2015 event season will kick into full swing with a wide range of topics from conservation photography to the life of the arctic explorer to the healing benefits of herbs.

Susan Fox Rogers, new to Third Thursdays, will present Life on the Ice on Thursday, April 16 at 7 pm a first-hand account of the life of the contemporary polar explorer based on her travels to Antarctica and the Arctic and her historical studies of life on the ice. Ms. Rogers is an author and Bard College professor.

WOW! a new series in partnership with the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will engage kids of all ages with the wonders of where we live at Denning's Point and 199 Main Street in Beacon. And, our classic Walk & Talk (W&T) adventures will excite young and old with the treasures of the Denning's Point landscape.
