Feeling your oats with herbs + invasives at Denning's Point

Upcoming opportunities to experience spring and show some love at Denning's Point begin this Saturday, 4/26, 10 am, with an Herbalist Walk & Talk with Sarah Elizabeth. Then, the following Saturday, 5/3, from 10 am - 1 pm, an invitation from the Friends of Hudson Highlands State Park to improve the habitat at Denning's Point by volunteering for I Love My Park Day.

Sarah Elizabeth, an herbalist in the Wise Woman Tradition, returns to Denning's Point by popular demand, to explore Denning's Point for wild edibles and healing herbs for the Institute's Walk & Talk Series. Online registration is requested for Sarah's Herbalist Walk on 4/26.

I Love My Park Day at Denning's Point, part of a state-wide effort to improve and enhance New York's state parks and historic sites, is a three-hour chance to take control of invasive plants that threaten the habitat at the Point. Please join the effort to sustain bald eagle perch sites by volunteering to remove Asiatic Bittersweet and girdling Tree-of-Heaven trees along the Denning's Point trail. Lunch provided.
