Where "looking ahead" has two meanings for environmentally minded students

Next week, Nov 8-9, the Environmental Consortium of Colleges & Universities will hold their 10th Annual Conference at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. Beacon Institute partners with the Consortium to support its mission of a joint environmental vision throughout the region. The program titled Sustain What? Preparing our Students by Greening our Campuses is open to academics, sustainability professionals, exhibitors, and students. 

Clarkson's RiverU, a six-credit program in environmental science and policy, is for any college or highly motivated high school student with an interest in the environment. Running from June 9 - 27, 2014 at Beacon Institute's facility at Denning's Point, RiverU is taught by Hudson River environmentalist John Cronin and Clarkson University faculty Dr. Tom Langen and Dr. Shane Rogers.
